PPLS associates follow a systematic process, which includes the following key phases:

(1) Analysis
(2) Design
(3) Development
(4) Implementation
(5) Evaluation.

When developing curriculum, we use a skill-based approach rather than a content-based approach. Our training focuses on performance versus knowledge; "What is it the learner will be able to do?" versus "What is it the learner will know?"

This performance-driven approach ensures that our training equips learners with the requisite skills and supporting knowledge to perform their jobs. Since over 60 percent of learning takes place by "doing", we ensure that our training design accounts for a lot of practical hands-on learning that is relevant, learner paced and focuses on workplace processes.

Our Process - Step by Step:

1. In collaboration with our client, we conduct a thorough analysis to identify performance gaps, which prevent the organization from achieving optimum performance. These gaps can be due to:
  • Skill and knowledge deficiencies
  • Poor incentive systems
  • Unclear expectations and communication
  • Insufficient systems and tools (e.g. inventory management systems, technological infrastructure, etc.).
2. We make cost-effective recommendations to eliminate performance gaps. These typically include training (e.g. print-based, e-learning, self-study, classroom delivery) and non-training (e.g. job aids, certification, incentives/consequences, motivation systems, environmental redesign, etc.) solutions.

3. We customize solutions to maximize human and organizational performance. Examples of how our solutions impact organizational performance include:
  • Improved customer service
  • Increased profits
  • Higher ROI and/or ROA
  • Increased efficiency
  • Increased market share.
